CFPB travel cards were used for 62,228 transactions totaling some $12.7 million in fiscal year 2017. We analyzed the risks of illegal, improper, or erroneous purchases and payments.

We assessed a medium risk level for the CFPB's travel card program. Although risk is likely to occur, it would be expected to have limited (but more than minimal) effect on current operations and long-term objectives. We completed an audit of the travel card program in June 2016 and plan to complete another audit of the program in 2018.
