What is an RSS feed?

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is an XML-based format for distributing web content. You can subscribe to RSS feeds using software such as readers (or aggregators), which display the links, headlines, and a brief feed summary. The reader automatically updates when feed content changes.

The OIG feed contains notifications of all reports and news releases when they are published to the OIG site.

How do I use an RSS feed?

You can view the feed with your web browser; just click on it above. To follow or subscribe to it, you will need an RSS reader.

Readers include some web browsers, e-mail programs, and web-based tools, as well as specialized programs. To find a reader, search the web for "RSS reader".

You will need the URL (web address) of the feed, which you will see in your web browser's address line when you click on the feed above.
