Strategic Plan

available formats

With the uncertainty that we and the agencies we oversee are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone the process of creating a new 4‑year strategic plan.

We will continue to operate under the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals outlined in our current strategic plan. Our audits and evaluations of the programs and operations of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will continue as planned, and our investigative efforts will also remain uninterrupted. Both, however, will now include pandemic response oversight activities. Because Inspector General Mark Bialek is a member of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, which promotes transparency and the coordinated oversight of the federal government's coronavirus response, the committee's strategic plan will also serve as a resource for us.

When the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us, we will be better positioned to look forward and establish a new plan that will guide us in the postpandemic environment and beyond.
