CFPB Report:  February 1, 2017

Fiscal Year 2016 Risk Assessment of the CFPB's Travel Card Program

available formats

CFPB travel cards were used for 68,606 transactions, totaling some $13.5 million, in fiscal year 2016. We analyzed the risks of illegal, improper, or erroneous purchases and payments.

We assessed a medium risk level for the CFPB’s travel card program. Although risk is likely to occur, it would be expected to have limited impact on current operations and long-term objectives. In addition, we completed an audit of the travel card program in June 2016. As a result, we will not include an audit of the travel card program in our 2017 annual audit plan.
