Over 23,000 purchases totaling about $5.2 million were made on government credit cards for CFPB travel during fiscal years 2020–2022.
Our assessment of the CFPB’s government travel card program shows that the risk of illegal, improper, or erroneous use of the cards is low. Nevertheless, the agency should continue to take appropriate actions to ensure proper oversight of its program.
